Animal City Print
A colourful and intriguing print featuring animals in un-expected places.
Story
My artwork was inspired by a poem by Dave Oliver that encourages children to look around the city and discover creatures using their imagination. There are three prints in the series, with each illustrating a different rhyming couplet from the Animal City poem.
"A washing line, or a great bird that flies
You can see them all round you, with the right kind of eyes."
This print could brighten up any wall in the house but is especially perfect for kids bedrooms, inquisitive eyes will spot the animals and make connections with the poem and their own surroundings.
Size
This is a high quality photographic Print 29.7 cm x 37 cm on gloss paper (FSC) in an open edition signed by the Artist.
Un-framed
Prints are sold un-framed and sent with Backing board and sealed in a plastic sleeve.
Creative Process
The original artwork for this print was built up in three dimensions using collaged elements; card, fabric, photocopies, pegs and pins on a background of brown paper and then photographed in the studio to capture all the textures and shadows.
